4 for 1 - peer portrait

A project about and for the first year students in the Interaction Design program at Umeå Institute of Design.

A project about and for the first year students in the Interaction Design program at Umeå Institute of Design.

We got to know 4 different classmates in 4 different stages of design

1 peer portrait   –  2 photograph  –  3 poster  –  4 motion graphic

In each step of the process we reflected on a fellow student - visualize our expression of the individual in the given media - then pass it over to an other student for the next step until we presented it in an open environment during an exhibition.

Motion Graphic of Daniel Jansson

The motion graphic is based on a sentence out of Daniels Portrait "the plethora of small things" .
By using only typography and black and white I could play with the high contrast and expressing the small things.

Exhibition

The prints were presented on a triangle base and each media faced one direction. By placing a wooden cylinder to the center of the platform one could choose the video to play.
